Speaking during his visit as part of the May edition of the State-Wide monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise, he described the uncleanliness of the institution as "appalling." Worried about the unhygienic state of the students' living spaces, Hon. Osogi asserted that the University of Calabar is falling short in its environmental practices, emphasizing the government's readiness to supporting the Institution in improving living conditions for students. The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Hon. Boniface Okache, on friday 11th, April 2025, attended the funeral service of the late Paramount Ruler of Yala Local Government Area, His Royal Highness Ogamode Onah Ipuole, held at Oba, Okpoma in Yala LGA. Hon. Okache, known for his close relationship with the late monarch, other traditional leaders and indigenes of the community, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He described the late HRH Ogamode Onah Ipuole as a visionary, veracious and dedicated leader whose contributions to the development of Yala and its people remain indelible. He further noted that the revered ruler’s legacy would serve as a beacon for future generations, and he prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul. Hon.
