CRS: Dr. Julius Kijuo, SSA Youth Development Collaborate With National Directorate Of Employment To Activate Vocational Centres Across The State.

In a bid to foster youth development and job creation in Cross River State, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Youth Development. Dr. Julius Kijuo, has paid a courtesy visit to the new Cross River State Coordinator of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Mr. Anthony Moloa, on January 27, 2025, at the Federal Secretariat, Calabar.   The visit is aimed at strengthening collaboration between the state government and the federal agency in providing training and employment opportunities for the youth.  During the meeting, Dr. Kijuo highlighted the importance of reviving the three vocational training centers that once operated across the three senatorial districts of the state under the NDE. Nigerian Musician Slimdizzybozz Visits Orphanage, Donates Essentials

Renowned Nigerian musician, Inaku Sunday, popularly known as Slimdizzybozz, recently visited the Infant Jesus Orphanage home in Bateba, Calabar as part of his efforts to give back to society. During the visit, Slimdizzybozz donated essential items, including noodles, toiletries, biscuits, and provisions, to cater to the needs of the children. He expressed his emotions, stating that the gesture was a demonstration of his love and commitment to providing hope for orphans. Slimdizzybozz thanked the caregivers for their selfless efforts in providing parental care to the children.  He advised the children to behave well and promised to visit the home regularly. The highlight of the visit was Slimdizzybozz's heartwarming performance of the cover "Let It Be," by the Beatles which moved both caregivers and children.  The children were overjoyed, offering prayers of gratitude and thanking the musician for the fun-filled experience.

The State Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Cross River State chapter , His Youthfulness Comr. Emmanuel Olayi has stated that, the National Youth council of Nigeria(NYCN) is an umbrella youth body, therefore every youth organization operating in the State has to be registered and properly affiliated with the council for the purpose of authenticity and sycronization of operations and their activities which must be in consonance with the ethics of the Council and the Ministry of Youth Development, He added that the council is not an arm of Government or political party but partners with Government for peace building and general development, thus the council should be a safe space for youth not minding their leanings so as to enable them channel their concerns freely and be attended to accordingly. CRS Residents Show Commitment To Maintaining A Clean, Green And Aesthetic Environment.

Residents of Cross River State have again shown high level of responsibility and commitment to keeping the State clean, through engaging in the monthly environmental sanitation exercise of January 2025, which held across the State today. This was noted during an inspection tour to different area's of calabar metropolis carried out by the ministry of Environment inspectorate team, led by the commissioner of the ministry, Hon. Moses Osogi who was also accompanied by security personnel's, appointees of Government, Management staff of the ministry, task force and staff of media houses. Parts of calabar metropolis visited are calabar road, watt market, bedwell, white house, mbukpa road, ekpo abasi road, musaha street, Marian market and mcc road, where business premises were locked by the owners to observe and take part in the environmental sanitation exercise.
