C'River NYCN Collaborate With Unicef For Development Of Young People In The State



It would be recalled that during the year 2025 first State Executive Council Meeting of The National Youth council of Nigeria (NYCN) which held at the Cross River State Youth House in Calabar, The Chairman His Youthfulness Obol Comr. Emmanuel Olayi charged his colleagues to be innovative, launch out to the society and secure opportunities that will benefit young people, consolidating on the concerted efforts of the supervisory Ministry ( Ministry of Youth Development). This strive to develop young people is believed to have started yielding results as the NYCN State Chairman HY Comr. Emmanuel Olayi and the Youth Engagement and Partnership Consultant for Unicef, Mr. Emmanuel Bamidele have effected collaboration to develop young Cross Riverans in job placement, skills and entrepreneurship among many other areas of youths interventions.

Mr. Emmanuel Bamidele who visited the NYCN State Chairman at the State Youth House today referred to the Youth House as a hall of potentials, fame and attainable agenda. Applauded Cross River young people for being tenacious,vocal and industrious, thus himself and the NYCN State Chairman have established an attainable work plan that will engage young Cross Riverans and give them access to upscaling opportunities that include; Job placement, Entrepreneurship, Partnership and internship programmes.

On his part, the NYCN State Chairman HY Comr. Emmanuel Olayi who started with thanking the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Apostle Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu and his wife for thir exceptional support towards the development of young people in the State, disclosed that himself and his executive have drawn out an agenda filled with youth impactful programs throughout the year 2025. furthered that, their collaboration with Unicef and other several development partners is to ensure that the hard work and innovative strength of Cross River youth translate into wealth creation for them, as empowering young people would reduce crime rate, insecurity, youth restiveness, contribute to society development, and also grant young people better livelihood.
He assured the Unicef official of maximum cooperation from the Youth Community and charged him again to work accordingly with the already established action plan, for the desired development of Cross River youths to be achieved. 

HY Comr. Olayi also called on young people of the State to cooperate with the youth leadership of the State, support government programs and also passionately embrace opportunities that are brought before them, to grant them a better future.
