Cross Riverian Bag's Iconic National Award Of Best Extension Worker In Nigeria





The minister of Agriculture and food security in Nigeria Sen. Abubakar Kyari, during the 46th National council on Agriculture and food security meeting held in calabar Cross River State, decorated Mr. Abam Bassey with the prestigious award of Best Extension Worker In Nigeria.

The award recipient is a staff of the Cross River State ministry of Agriculture and also first Cross Riverian to receive the prestigious National award of best extension worker in Nigeria.
 
According to the Minister, Mr. Abam Bassey earned the blazing award as Government's reward to him for recognition of his hard work, due diligence, dexterity and the surpassing commitment he has consistently manifested to improve agricultural extension services in Nigeria.

On receiving the award, the recipient who reacted with elation, said the award which came as a surprise to him considering the sublimity of it, is a charge for further hard work, exerting and employing of his intellectual resources in steering optimal agric extension services in Cross River State and beyond.
He further expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Minister for the iconic award, extolled the Governor of Cross River State Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu for his visionary leadership that has led to the revitalization of numerous Agric extension programs In the ministry which have further reinforced sufficient food production and security programs in the State. The commissioner Mr. Johnson Ebokpo Jnr was not left out in his appreciation, as Mr. Bassey appraised him for the propitious working relationship he has maintained with Staff of the ministry, thereby engendered unprecedented productivity in the Agricultural sector of the State.

Mr. Abam Bassey called for partnership between individuals, co-operate bodies and Government for advancement of robust agriculture productivity and food security in Nigeria.
