Refugee Week: Netballers Hold Netball Exhibition At Ogoja' C'River State

Netballers at the Adagom 1, Adagom 3 and Ukande refugee camps have held a netball exhibition at the Netball field of Adagom 1 refugee camp, at Ogoja local Government Area in Cross River State, to mark the refugee Week and international Olympic day.

Recall that Netball was recently introduced to the three refugee camps in Ogoja after CSED initiative "Project 2027" training of P.E teachers in Cross River State was held in 2024, leading to the certification of coaches Stephanie Obi, Marceline Ode and Samuel Egeh who are Cameroon citizens.
The three certified coaches were charged with the responsibility of providing the female players in their respective camps with access to learn the basic netballs, identify and nurture future talents of the budding Netballers.

The event which was organized by CSED(community Sport and educational development) initiative with support from Sema and leaders of the refugee camps had participation of twenty Netballers from each camp of the three camps who were kitted by the Lord's Taverners and CSED initiative, with each Netballers provided a sport book ("Click It") that was donated to the refugees by the Uxbridge library of London borough of hilling don (Uk).
The event recorded a kin exhibition, that was won by Netballers from the Ukande camp who recorded victory in two exhibition games they participated in.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of five thousand naira and educational vouchers to each of the sixty Netballers.
