C'River Government Prosecute Environmental Sanitation Law's Violators In The State.



The mobile sanitation court set up by the Cross River State Government to prosecute violator's of the sanitation law's of the State,  have over the weekend prosecuted over eighty individuals who contravened the environmental sanitation laws of the state.

The individuals who were arrested by the task force team of the Cross River State Ministry of Environment during there supervision of the State wide environmental sanitation exercise, had committed different punishable offence's stated in the sanitation law, which includes disregarding the restriction of human and vehicular movement during the hours of sanitation exercise, refusal to partake in the sanitation exercise, selling during the hours of the sanitation exercise and opening of business premises for operations during the hours of the environmental sanitation exercise.

According to the Cross River State Comissioner for Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi, the culprit's would be tried by the mobile court and those found guilty by offending Government through violating the sanitation laws, would be punished according to their offence.

The Environment Boss also stated that, the Cross River State Government through the ministry of Environment is timelessly committed to restoring the hygiene and aesthetic environment of the state and part of the activities to achieving these goals is through the end of the month State wide environmental sanitation exercise which all individuals, indigenes and residents of the State are expected to actively participate in, between the hours of 7:00 am to 10:00 am of every last saturday of the month.

Meanwhile the sanitation exercise for the month of March recorded high level of compliance by residents in the state, as many were seen cleaning, clearing bushes around their environments and evacuating waste from drainage's around their surroundings.
