CRSHA 2023 - Hon. Augustine Odu Bisong Emerges NNPP Flag Bearer For BOki II State Constituency In Cross River State.


The former vice chairman of Boki local Government area in Cross River State, Hon. Augustine Odu Bisong, popularly known as "BENCLAY" has emerged as the New Nigeria peoples party(NNPP) State house of assembly flag bearer for Boki II state constituecy. 


This follows the congress of the party  delegates which held on August 3,2022, at Kakwagom, Boki Local Government Area to elect the party's candidates ahead of 2023 general elections.

The Primaries had in attendance, party's officers including the Chapter chairman of NNPP, Boki LGA, Ward chairmen and secretaries of the six council wards of Boki II State Constituency, among others are Barr. Ojong Nicholas Agbo as returning officer and assisted by Mr. Umu uwanede while been  monitored by officers of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Addressing the delegates before the primary, the Presiding officer told the delegates that Hon. Augustine Odu Bisong was the only aspirant who scaled through the party's screening and cleared to contest for Boki Two State Constituency primaries.

He said a total of fifteen out of eighteen state delegates accredited were eligible to vote to elect the candidate for the party.

The returning officer in the presence of Inec officials announced that Hon. Augustine Bisong was returned elected through an affirmation congress as a candidate to fly the flag of the NNPP in Boki II State Constituency come 2023 general elections. 

In his acceptance speech Hon. Augustine Odu "Benclay" thanked the people for finding him worthy to fly the party's ticket to represent them if eventually elected as their representative.


He dedicated his victory to the Almighty God and expressed hope that the final election to the State House to represent the good people of Boki Two Constituency will be successful. 

The NNPP candidate for Boki Two appealed to party members to mobilize the people ahead of the election, stressing that votes must count in the election and promised to ensure that his constituents get better and effective representation if elected.  

He reminded the people of his legacy projects which are there to speak for him as a man who holds his people in high esteem always and backs his words with actions as a talk and do .
