Rt.Hon. Bassey Ewa Sue's For Peace Among Warring Oyadama And Nko Communities In Cross River State.

The peoples Democratic party (PDP) senatorial candidate for the central Senatorial district of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Bassey Eko Ewa has utterly reprobated the communal clash that has led to loss of lives, properties and afflictions on indigenes of both Oyadama of Obubra Local Government Area and Nko community of Yakurr Local Government Area in Cross River State and is therefore calling for reconciliation, peace and tranquility among the both communities.

Rt. Hon. Ewa said, there is no gain in war as it rather retrogrades the economy and progress of any society, with subduing the people to misery and poverty and to avoid such there are always mediums for dialogue and resolution of disagreement instead of engaging in war that is obnoxious and perilous to any community, adding that the both waring communities are sister communities and as such inappropriate for them to engage in any form of crisis that will lead to loss of human lives and arson as there is no dispute that is beyond resolution if handled with wisdom and prudence.

On his part Rt. Hon. Bassey Ewa said he has contacted several law enforcement and peace making agencies for intervention and believes calm would be restored soonest in the both communities. He also called on the Local Government chairmen and monarchs of both communities to call their people to orderliness and peaceful negotiations that will restore peace and sanity in both communities.

He also donated relief materials to the displaced persons who took refuge in other neighboring communities, while appreciating the indigenes of those communities for their hospitality and brotherly love they have shown to their neighbors.
